Delhi. India had a staggering 41 million registered diabetes cases in 2007, predicted to rise to 75 million in the next twenty years as the well-to-do middle class expands.

Whether jogging is wise is debatable. Indian diesel reportedly contains 50 to 200 times more sulphur than European diesel, and most of the ageing engines of Indian vehicles would fail emission tests in a western country. An encouraging development is that Delhi and Mumbai have recently converted much of their public transport to CNG (compressed natural gas).
